Comet Workflow Workshop (September 21, 2023)

The Surfliner Project team noticed the need for an in-depth workshop to provide some insights into how Comet’s workflow engine works and can be adapted to new domains.

To explore this, we proposed exploring a workflow like digital image capture in a digitalization lab and/or research data to highlight Comet as a digital object lifecycle management tool. This would provide alignment on how Comet enriches and expands the available tools in our current environments, allowing us to think in Comet-native terms. This would provide a landscape shift for thinking about Comet, not as an in-kind replacement, but as a new, more robust platform for object lifecycle management.
