Lark: Sprint 2 (February 25-March 8, 2019, 2019)

What is the goal of sprint 2?

We hoped to get to our first milestone -- an initial stand-alone platform where we can create, edit, and retrieve authority records. We did achieve this goal and we’re currently waiting to deploy.

What is the milestone that this sprint is supporting?

The Milestone 1 is to have an initial stand-alone platform where we can create, edit, and retrieve authority records.

Accomplishments of Sprint 2:

Sketch event log specification.

Add, edit, and retrieve authority records.

Update authority records.

Batch update.

Add Rubocop.

Add integration tests.

Did we do everything we set out to accomplish?

Our goal of Sprint 2 is to deploy a basic authority platform to staging, create a base agent, and update the authority records. We accomplished this.

What’s on deck for Sprint 3?

Starlight has a deadline so we will be spending more development time in that area than in Lark this sprint. That said, we are looking to do an initial ingest of UC San Diego Authority records (a small subset) for testing and to code for a basic search functionality. We are adding a new employee to metadata at UCSD and we'll be onboarding this week so our time with our SMEs will be limited. We hope to get a lot of documentation done this week and some further discussion on data model versioning.
